私たち西脇ライオンズクラブは1963年に結成されました。歴代会長
はじめ先輩ライオンが築いてこられた伝統と偉業をこれからも引き継いで地域社会に根差した奉仕活動を続けていかなければと考えます。今、社会全体が大きく変化しています。自然界では地球温暖化等の影響で日本のみならず世界中で異常気象による災害が発生しています。これまでの習慣・常識などが音をたてて崩れてきています。人間社会では犯罪の低年齢化や凶悪な事件など人間関係が歪んでしまった事件が多発しています。しかし、その原因を考えれば、私たちの心のなかにある信頼とかお互いの結びつきの欠如があるのではと考えます。その信頼・結びつきを取り戻す方法は感謝の心を起こすことが大切なのではないでしょうか。今ある環境に、私たちを支えてくれる方々に、またライオンズクラブ活動を行なえることに対して、これからも感謝することが大切な事ではないでしょうか。今日まで先輩ライオンが、指導力を発揮されてきたライオンズクラブのモットーである「We Serve」（われわれは奉仕する）を引き継ぎ実行しなければなりません。しかし、今、私たち西脇ライオンズクラブは会員数が減少しています。その様な中、出来る社会奉仕も限りがありますが、今こそ会員全ての皆様の知恵を出して頂き素晴らしい事業、実りある社会奉仕を計画・実行する必要があるのではないでしょうか。例会については私たちライオンズの義務と権利の場です。又自己の研鑚・知識を得る機会でもあり、親しみのある楽しい例会を目指したいと考えています。

We will do our best to continue the social service activities rooted in regional community, keeping the efforts which the presidents and members of Nishiwaki Lions Club made up in the past.
Now our society is changing very fast and magnificently.
Because of the rise of temperature all over the world, major disasters are caused by the abnormal climate. By far and away, these phenomena surpass common sense and a habit in the past.
In human societies, atrocious incidents happen increasingly and younger people commit a crime because of warped each other’s relationship. We make the conclusion that the lack of trust and union in the mind cause wrongdoing, and that it is important to thank forever the present environment, people supporting us, and possibility of Lions Club activities.
” We Serve “, under this motto of Lions Club International, senior Lions have developing the leadership, and so we should carry on and realize the spirits. But the decrease in number of Nishiwaki Lions club member restrict the voluntary activities now. However in adverse circumferences, we must concentrate all member’s wisdom. We must plan and perform the splendid activities and productive social service.
Lions club member have duties and rights to attend the regular meeting where we can improve our-self, and widen our knowledge. So that, we will attempt joyful and friendly meeting.
According to above-mentioned views, I decided in this fiscal year that
